Note international plug adapter required- not supplied – unit does not have a standard SA plug. Or Replace with Kettle Plug.
Electrical furnaces for metal casting, equipped with digital heat regulator, maximum 1100°C – 2012°F temperature.
They are available for 2kg graphite crucible capacity, and are supplied complete with crucible and tong.
2 kg – 1300 watt – 17/18 ampere 50hz 230volt
Instructions for use;
Read & Observe all instructions to operate your furnace to protect and prolong lifespan.
The Maximum cycle is 40 minutes. The performance of the components are designed to according to this limitation.
If a second or 3rd media load is required observe a cool down period before repeating the next load.
Once the first cycle is complete, switch off the unit before discharging the liquid contents. Don’t close the lid at any time before switching off at the main switch.
Replace the crucible inside carefully. Allow the unit to cool 100%. After 30 minutes the machine is ready for the 2nd charge.
Do not over fill the graphite crucible with metal media. After temperature control light is ready add only 1/3rd crucible capacity of metal media… once melted add another batch.
Do not drop heavy pieces into the hot crucible this will crack the graphite. Always unplug the unit after every use.
If left on for extended time unsupervised the thermal coupling and element will be permanently damaged.
Install a surge protection plug immediately on receipt of your machine. The components are sensitive to surges.
Always ensure the room is well ventilated as metals can let off fumes.
If you intend large scale smelting operation we recommend buying additional furnaces or contact us for alternative industrial units.
Train your staff with clear procedures.
Guarantee will be applied only when correct working procedures have been observed.
CAUTION NOTE: WORK SAFE *** Always take Protective Measures when melting metals. Safe surroundings
