Clock Movements

In horology, a clock movement is the internal mechanism of a clock or watch, as opposed to the case, which encloses and protects the movement, and the face which displays the time. The term originated with mechanical timepieces, whose clock movements are made of many moving parts. It is less frequently applied to modern electronic or quartz timepieces, where the word module is often used instead. In modern mass produced clocks and watches, the same movement is often put into many different styles of case

All of our quartz clock motors/mechanisms make clock making a snap. In only minutes you can make a unique clock! Choose from standard quartz motors in high-torque, sweep , insert, cuckoo, Westminster Chime, 24 hour, World Time or mechanical clock movements. All include one FREE set of Hands of your choice incorporating approximately 60 styles.

With over 20 clock dial sizes and styles, we know you’ll find the perfect dial for your project if required or make your own custom dial and use our adhesive number sets 1-12, in Arabic or Roman.

Clock inserts are an extremely simple method of clock making. Simply mount the self contained clock insert in a hole that’s sized for the insert, install a battery and set the time. What could be easier?
